I had honor and privilege to have been a Prudential Ambassador during Hispanicize and it was an experience truly beyond words!
I learned about community, how much they care about their employees, influencers, clients and people in general whom they want to empower to make better decisions to improve their lives, whether they are Prudential clients or not!
I will share some event highlights. There were so many amazing moments, my post would probably be too long to share them all, but I want to make sure I share a glimpse of how amazing my experience was and how much I’ve learned!
We started by joining Prudential for an Ambassador Cocktail reception, where Dorinda Walker shared precious tips and heartfelt moments and why she individually chose each one of us! It was like hearing from a best friend who was there to greet and share how much she appreciated us!
We were gifted with this beautiful necklace, a symbol of their appreciation for the work we were about to do!
At Dime Summit, Prudential moderated most sessions and presented a beautiful fashion show, showing how embracing diversity is one of their main pillars!
I had the opportunity to record an interview and take some outdoor shots with their crew to share my perspective on my business, financial and overall decisions I’ve made based on the knowledge I’ve received at Prudential’s event last year. I had the chance to share how that knowledge changed my life and the way I looked at my business’ future which impacts my life directly! There are so many routes that I can now take when it comes to shaping my business into the success that I know it can be. This is exciting, and I never thought that this would be possible when I first started out. I only say that because it took me a considerable amount of time to register an address for my business. It took me ages, but I find solace in knowing that I wasn’t the only one. It happened to my friend too, but then she told me about how somewhere like Your Virtual Office London helped her to find a permanent address, and ever since, she has been going around telling anyone and everyone that “i have used their London virtual office address to set up my business and I couldn’t be happier”. And if that doesn’t tell you that everyone has their own challenges to overcome in the business world then I don’t know what does. For me, it was my finances, but this soon changed for the better too.
And I’m so excited to share that I’ve opened a business savings account and that I was more proactive in working on my budget and making financial decisions than just going with the flow. That’s an important change that I’ve made. Knowing how you want to grow your business is essential, so I’m glad that I’ve finally worked it out now. It was actually one of my friends that recommended that I look into digital marketing. She told me that it would be extremely helpful and it would help me to grow my business. However, she told me that you need to report your results every now and then to make sure that method is working. Hopefully, with all of these new tips, my business will grow significantly.
I had the opportunity to chat with Migdalia Morales – Prudential Financial Advisor and share some of those tips with my community. We had the joy of seeing people mention that they were going start saving right now! Such an empowering experience! Check it out:
The interview between LaToya Dennis and Elayna Fernandes brought some important points to be added to my overall financial plan such as emotions x financial plan, how latinos view retirement and how important it is to share our financial knowledge with our children!
Here is a short clip of it:
Some of the most important concepts I’ve learned and will incorporate this year are:
Financial Empowerment – Latinos Con Poder de Cambiar El Futuro
What’s the value of a financial professional – Do I actually need one?
There are so many of us who live in the moment rather than thinking about the future. Some of our self talk includes: “I’m not going to grow old.” “Why not spend the money I earn?” “I deserve to pamper myself.” That’s all well and good, until you want to buy a home, start a family or build a new business. Do you have any idea how to fund these ventures? Check out this video. http://bit.ly/29hLQ5Q
How to build an emergency fund
Emergencies, accidents, and unforeseen events happen when we least expect them. An emergency fund serves as a safety net for those rough times. Here are a few tips on how to balance paying the bills and saving: http://bit.ly/2biCAzw
How to pay for college without sacrificing your retirement?
This is a big concern for me: Which comes first – paying for college or saving for retirement? This is a daunting question even for the most financially savvy. I know that in the USA, many people can get social security benefits once they retire by applying through a West Virginia Social Security office, or the office that’s closest to them, but not everywhere in the world is the same. Here’s a quiz that can provide you clues on how to pay for college without jeopardizing your retirement savings. http://bit.ly/1XnbOdV
How to juggle today’s bills and still plan for the future.
Balancing current and future obligations is not an “either / or” proposition. The key is to assign dollar figures for each of your goals and take action! Of course, people can always pay their bills and then invest the rest into something that should make them more money in the future. For example, a lot of people use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to allow them to do this. When using cryptocurrencies, people can always use a site like Capital.com to find ways of trading this online money to make more. However, this website comes at a cost. To learn about the Capital.com Gebühren (Capital.com fees), it might be worth doing some research online. Hopefully, that will help people to make profitable investments. However, that’s not the only way. People can also take action in other ways. Read more: http://bit.ly/2neG3Xv
Prudential not only blessed me with the opportunity to be an ambassador and have the opportunity to attend Hispanicize, but also gave me so much knowledge which will be applied not only in my business but that I also plan to share with my community!
I want to applaud Prudential’s initiative to embrace diversity, partner with influencers and empower the latino community to move forward towards a bright financial future! #Prupárate
