I have a closet with some things I’ve saved from when my son was a baby. I often open it, as it reminds me of precious moments we’ve shared together. Some items in the box don’t reflect how amazing those moments were, as they carry the wear and tear of playtime, laugh and giggles. That’s why I am extremely excited to share information about the #LysolTeddyRepair initiative and invite you to join me to properly help care for your child’s prized possessions and also to recreate memories.
Lysol Teddy Repair Event
Brunch In NYC
We were invited to attend a delicious brunch in NYC last week, to learn more about Lysol’s initiative to help us recreate memories and make new ones by preserving, sanitizing and repairing our child’s precious stuffed animals!
I must confess, I had no idea that contrary to popular belief, washing laundry (and stuffed animals) with regular detergent in cold water does not kill all bacteria, including harmful bacteria that cause illnesses like staph infections.
I also learned that Lysol® Laundry Sanitizer helps eliminate these sickness and odor-causing bacteria.
I’ve always thought washing the stuffed animal would damage it, but Lysol gave me the tools to learn how to properly wash it, while keeping it safe for generations to come!
Lysol® Laundry Sanitizer is a one-of-a-kind product that is safe to use on washable fabric items and kills 99.9% of bacteria that regular detergents may leave behind, when used as directed.
It made me rethink the way I looked at my son’s stuffed animals and my plan to share some of them with grand-babies!
I can still remember when my boy fit in cute shorts, like the ones below and our endless play time hours!
To help parents repair and sanitize their children’s stuffed animals at home, Lysol has also partnered with Do-It-Yourself (DIY) expert Mandi Gubler, who provided tips, tricks and DIY hacks for at-home teddy repair.
“As a mom and DIYer, repairing items around the home is something I do daily, but it takes on added importance when I’m fixing something for my children,” said Mandi Gubler, blogger, DIY expert, and mom.
I was just amazed by the great tips she shared and how I’m going to put them to use when recreating memories with my son’s favorites!
