I was surprised by the news that I was a finalist for Best Twitter Creator at the Tecla Awards at Hispanicize; that’s when the Fashion Alarm rang and I knew I needed to find a special outfit for the Red Carpet!
That’s why I was so excited to have been invited by JCPenney to work with a stylist to choose my outfit, accessories and … shoes and have my hair/make up done as well!!
You know I love shoes, right?? So the idea to have been invited to shop at JCPenney with a personal stylist was a dream come true and I loved the experience so much, I wanted to share it with you!
She gave me a few special Red Carpet Tips I wanted to share with you:

Chose your clothes taking in consideration your style, seasons must have and your budget

Clothes first, shoes next and accessories as the final touch

Make up and hair will come at the end to compliment your overall look, instead of fighting with it
My stylist was waiting for me with a few options and I must say I loved it all! She said she visited my blog and my Instagram feed, which really impressed me!
After trying a few pieces on, I decided to take not one, but two dresses! The prices were so amazing and the dresses fit so well, that I couldn’t help but give in and get “my Penney’s Worth”! JCPenney’s broad assortment of private fashion brands offers the perfect blend of style, quality and value!

Then we went to my favorite part: shoessss! Diana and I went shoe shopping together!!
So many options, I could spend all day there!!! This Trendy Latina was in shoe heaven at JCPenney!
After looking at the gorgeous styles and the unbelievable prices, I decided to take these two pairs. Love them???
My stylist patiently walked with me and showed me great accessories and I decided to buy these beautiful earrings!! Time to shine!
Time for make up, I went to check out the colors and was surprised by all my besties finishing their styles, so we did a quick live video to show you the behind the scenes!
There’s nothing more beautiful than getting the glam on at a great store with your friends!
Red Carpet Time, here is my final look! What do you think? I went with a Spring Pink lace and fitted look!
I walked the Red Carpet confidently, gave interviews and posed for pictures for local press!
It was definitely an unforgettable night and I owe it all to JCPenney!

These are lovely tips, and I am always so lost as to what to wear for a special occasion. I usually end up just wandering around stores, and in the end just grab whatever is closest to me as I run out of time for shopping. I will try to follow your sound advice!
