The Summer is here and with it comes my favorite time of all for fashion, food, and visiting friends! Barbecue Season is at our door! Bright mornings and hot days are here, however, it is not all fun and games for everyone as the heat can bring along some issues, luckily homeowners can have AC Repairs done for their homes so they are not suffering through the heat night and day.

Summer Laundry Tips
Sorting the Clothes
- Separating clothes is crucial! Please don’t wash whites with colors or delicates with jeans for example! I know it seems basic, but our busy schedules don’t often allow us to sort through! This is one of my most important steps! We actually have a day of the week when we do laundry and all clothes are sorted in piles and my clothes, which are more delicate, are washed separately from the rest of the house.
- Bathing suits are always washed separately and air dried! Some of my bathing suits are from Brazil, where they wash everything by hand and air dry, so checking the clothes tags is a must, if you want them to look like new!

Quite nice tips, and separating the different kind of clothes is very vital.
I hand wash delicates and air dry them. Otherwise, I have a similar approach to yours and enjoy the process.

Separating clothes is also my tip! I use to separate the clothes I am wearing for office and at house and also the plain ones to clothes with colors to about messing up the white ones.

I have to admit that I never air dry my bathing suits. Maybe that’s why my family goes through so much swimwear lol.
These are really awesome tips and such a useful post! I’m guilty of not separating my colors from my whites but I’ve never had a problem knock on wood. I always wash new clothes by themselves for the first time though just in case their colors bleed a little.

We don’t have those Tide Pods here in my country. We only have those liquid detergents which I guess works equally great for washing machine use.

I air dry almost everything, it is just so much easier on your clothes. Although I haven’t been air drying swim suits. I am going to have to now!
I refuse to use any other detergent other than tide especially the pods. They make life so much easier and clothes come out super clean all the time.

Really good post – as you say, most people know the right way to do things but sometimes when you’re in a rush you just don’t check the care instructions. I ruined a new jumper after the first wash a couple of weeks ago and it really taught me a lesson! Rx

I just recently started using Tide Pods and I love them! No more drippy detergent. I just need to wait and see how good they are at taking out tough stains. Prior to the pods I really counted on Persil detergent for stain removal – but the liquid was so messy!
Separating clothes is super crucial when doing laundry! I’ll never forget when I was little and I wanted to “help” my mom by picking up some of the work load around the house and I threw all of the clothes into the washing machine and her white pants came out pink.

These are some great tips, I seem to get through so much more washing in the summer and I am awful for just throwing it all in – I NEED to stop that.
Tide is the only brand of laundry detergent that I use. I have never tried the pods, though. I especially like that they are pre-measured, because I think most people have a tendency to use too much detergent.

You’re so right about summer delicates. I have a number of dress that can luckily be washed. I should probably hand wash most of them, but I put them all on the gentle cycle and hang them to dry.

Laundry has been so much better since we switched to Tide Pods. They get the clothes incredibly clean, and we don’t have to worry about putting in softener. We just toss them in and forget about it.
Tide pods are great I think for top loaders, but I have a new washing machine that draws the some in from a dispenser. I’ve put the tide pod in there and it did nothing, maybe disintegrated a little Over all I love the convenience of just dropping a tab in instead of measuring liquids.
