Every year, Valentine’s Day comes around and my dilemma starts: what should I give hubby for Valentine’s Day? Here are my best tips after being married for 17 years on how to choose the Best Valentine’s Gift!
Best Valentine’s Gift
After many trial and error experiences, I’ve finally figured out that hubby has a peculiar taste and he’s not crazy about fancy dinners or unusual gifts! Of course, a few little gifts are customary, and you can actually buy super cool things for 10 dollars online at places like noveltystreet.com, so they don’t have to cost the world either.
So, personally, when it’s time to give a Valentine’s Gift, I look for a simple way to make my loved ones happy – hubby in particular!
Food
I either cook a homemade meal that hubby likes or make a reservation for a local restaurant during the day. Usually lunch time, so we’re not excluding my son out of our celebration, since he’s at school!
This year, I decided to cook, you can check out our meal HERE.
Yumm, isn’t it?
I also bought his favorite candy!
Meaningful Words
I bought him a card, which has a beautiful message and meaningful words!
In the past, I had also printed and made custom designed ones!
Choosing The Right Valentine’s Gift
For me, it’s all about finding something hubby needs/likes rather than flashing that bright gift in front of him! For example, this year I found him something that he needed but was also personal towards him, this was a custom photo wallet. His old wallet was battered and worn so I thought what better way to get him something of practical use but with one of our favourite photos in the stitching!
I have also decided to give him a Philips Norelco S9000!
Here are a few things I love about the Philips Norelco:
Shave wet or dry
With S9000 you can shave dry or use water, foam or gel for even better gliding and a smoother skin feeling.
Washable design simplifies cleanup
Features an easy three-step cleaning process.
Up to 60 minutes of cordless shaving per full charge
The high-capacity battery also fully charges in as little as 1 hour.
Battery indicator
Shows when it is time to recharge your shaver.
NanoTech precision blades
Strengthened with thousands of nano particles that cut hair with the highest precision, delivering an extremely close shave at skin level.
ContourDetect heads
Move in 8 directions to follow every contour of your face, even catching hair in hard-to-reach areas like the neck and jawline. Shaving heads are surrounded with SkinComfort rings, which have a special protective coating so the shaver glides smoothly over your skin.
BeardAdapt sensor
Effortlessly shave off even a dense beard. The BeardAdapt sensor checks hair density 15 times per second and automatically adapts the shaver to your hair.
SmartClick precision trimmer
Finish your look with the skin-friendly SmartClick precision trimmer. It is ideal for maintaining your mustache and trimming your sideburns.
Qi Charger
Allows wireless charging
You can find more about the Philips Norelco at Best Buy!
Find Something The Whole Family Will Enjoy
Usually when my son comes home, we have a game night or do something together! Here are some ideas on how to share Valentine’s Day with your teen/child.
I also buy some candy hubby and son enjoy, so they can share, without having to “give each other a gift”.
At the end, Valentine’s Day is just one more day when you celebrate the ones you love!
I believe the daily habits and your small gestures of showing love will be the best gift you will ever give your loved ones: significant other, friends & family!

Wireless charging, that’s a great concept, especially with all the electronic gadgets one needs to charge, one less thing taking up receptacle/outlet is BUENISIMO!!!

That is a great gift. I think my husband would love the norelco because of the wireless charging. We have been married for over 23 years so these days we like just spending time together. This year we went to the movies and lunch. It was perfect!

We don’t do Valentines gifts but I did cook the other half a 3 course meal to show him how much I love him. We had to have it a day late though as our youngest was sick yesterday 🙁
