The Power Of Faith
I’ve been going through a wait/trial season; been there?
Well, it’s a season of changing my old beliefs, removing fear and embracing what God has in store for me, but it also comes with the unknown.
What if God doesn’t want me to move forward? What if he doesn’t want me to live in abundance and prosper?
As I type, I feel my hands slipping into old fears and beliefs which I am trying to remove from my life, replacing them with a closer relationship with God and faith in my identity in Christ and God’s promises in his word:
Proverbs 8:18 – “With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity”.

I choose to believe God’s truth over the enemy’s lies, which keep me stuck, believing scarcity and lack are here to stay!
Faith & The Pine Tree
You’re probably wondering why I started my story with a picture of a pine tree! Well, George, as a we call the pine tree in my backyard is a reminder that faith takes you to the unexpected and can move mountains and change all that you know.
When my son was 6, we bought a small Christmas potted pine tree to place in our foyer, because we’re both allergic to pine trees, therefore, no real tree for us.

When Christmas was over, I picked up the pine tree and proceeded to throw it away.
My son asked me, Mom, can we plant the tree?
I didn’t have the heart to tell him that the tree was dead when it came to our house after being cut. His strong faith that we needed to plant the tree to give it a chance made me change my mind and allow him to believe in the impossible!
I thought, no harm in letting him plant it; when it dies, he will understand….I didn’t have the heart to share the truth with him, the truth I believed was the reality, and the little faith I had in change!
My husband took my son to plant the tree, my son named it George and three has been there for the past 17 years!
I often share this story and show the now 20+ foot tree to friends and people to come to our backyard to show them that when you have faith, nothing is impossible!
The story is also a reminder that we’re only limited by our own beliefs, that if we have a child’s imagination and trust what God can do, we will reach higher and move immovable mountains!
We can’t, but God Can!
