Let me start by saying that I’ve seen the movie, the Avatar more than 10 times! I’m a huge fan of the story, beautiful scenery combined with a great action driven plot! Such an amazing movie! But what really fascinates me is that their philosophy and the concept behind the Na’vi society is something I’ve always believed. That we’re all connected, that we go back to our source when we die and that the higher power, whatever you call it, I call it God, holds the gate for all of us to return to the source.
That powerful message is for me, one of the most beautiful gifts the movie has to offer! But for this Avatar fan, being able to live and experience the magic brought to life, it was more than a gift, it was pure magic!! A word you will read throughout my post and that I kept repeating to myself as I experienced Pandora at Animal Kingdom, which opens May 27th for the public!
As we walked through the doors of Pandora, I realized I was stepping into a whole new world! A world of imagination, exotic plants, birds, scents, pure magic; unlike any other attraction I’ve ever experienced and you know I’ve been around, right?

As you walk under waterfalls, around beautiful natural plants – which resemble the ones in the movie, you just feel immersed in this new universe of beauty and exotic detail beyond belief!
The floating mountains immediately caught my attention! One of my favorite parts when watching the movie Avatar! I looked above and the mountains are a beautiful monument to majestic art work and attention to detail combined at its best.
We were then, invited to experience the rides:
Na’vi River Journey
Float down a gentle, mysterious river and feel a sense of wonder as the full beauty of Pandora reveals itself. Located within the Valley of Mo’ara, Na’vi River Journey offers us an experience that has to be seen—and heard—to be believed!
As your expedition begins, climb aboard a reed boat and drift downstream. After coasting through a series of caves, and passing by exotic glowing plants and amazing creatures of the rain-forest, you’ll soon find yourself face-to-face with the Na’vi Shaman.
The adventure comes to a conclusion as the Shaman demonstrates her deep connection to the life force of Pandora—and sends positive energy out into the forest through the power of her music!

Deep in the heart of the Valley of Mo’ara, discover Avatar Flight of Passage—an all-new expedition that lets explorers like us climb atop a mountain banshee for a breathtaking, first-person flight over the moon’s incredible landscape.

I truly enjoyed bonding with my Banshee and having him near me! You can arrange Banshee “adoptions”, which is really cool! Let them choose you and start your own bonding journey!
The Trendy in me was also happy to incorporate the Na’vi spirit by purchasing one of their head gear to help me fully understand what it means to be one of them!
I did not have a chance to experience the Satu’li Canteen – Coming May 27, 2017!
You are able to quench your thirst, the Pandoran way, at a stand offering Na’vi-inspired refreshment.
Are your expeditions at Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey leaving you thirsty? Hike to the corner of Windtraders where you’ll find Pongu Pongu — when you spot a friendly expat serving out-of-this-world drinks, you’ve come to the right place.
Meaning “Party Party” in the language of the Na’vi, Pongu Pongu welcomes weary travelers to try the “bioluminescent” frozen cocktail, indigenous beers—or even a sweet snack you won’t find elsewhere, trust me, when I say that!!!!

For a limited time from May 27 to July 4, 2017, Disney’s Animal Kingdom park will be open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, giving you more time than ever to explore Pandora – The World of Avatar.
“Extra” Extra Magic Hours
In addition, Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will have the chance to enjoy “Extra” Extra Magic Hours—available exclusively in Pandora – The World of Avatar from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM, May 27 to July 4, 2017.
Please note: this benefit is in addition to the Extra Magic Hours already available to Disney Resort hotel Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park.

I have heard of this place before. I think I read a blogger experience. I am not a massive fan of Avatar. Although I think the techniques and colours are amazing, the story is Pocahontas for grown up. But this sounds like a lovely experience! xx corinne
