We were invited by Disney to attend a Jungle Book screening but all opinions are my own.
I remember watching Jungle Book as a child and singing the bare necessities in Portuguese! Such fun memories!
When I heard that Disney was making a new movie about it, I became so excited to watch the movie version of the iconic animated version!
I had the privilege of participating as a Best Buy panelist in a Twitter party hosted by Disney to promote the movie where the director, Jon Favreau answered questions about the movie! I was so excited when he answered one of my most important questions:
For me the movie is a family friendly masterpiece! The scenes are so realistic that it’s hard to believe that it was done inside a 12 story building, inside the studio!
The animals, the jungles, it’s like being immersed in a new universe, so real, you can almost smell and feel it! Coming from Brazil, I felt as if I was right in the jungle!
The story becomes so much more powerful when Mowgli’s actor interacts with live animals, showing the emotions and drama, not seen in my opinion, in the animated movie version!
Needless to say I cried half way through the movie, but I won’t spoil the surprise! Here is a sneak peek:
Here is the summary: The man-cub Mowgli flees the jungle after a threat from the tiger Shere Khan. Guided by Bagheera, the black panther and the bear Baloo, Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery, though he also meets creatures who don’t have his best interests at heart!

My favorite scene, Mowgli and Baloo singing in the river! No spoilers, you need to watch it! Bill Murray is priceless! The Red Flower metaphor is breathtaking and brings additional beauty to an amazing story!
Bring your kids, your whole family to watch this amazing movie! We certainly loved it!

Cenários que me lembram a Amazonia, animais tão reais que voce vai se perguntar como fizeram algo tão perfeito.
O filme foi produzido num estudio em um edificio fechado, mas o espectador tem a sensação de estar viajando numa floresta!
Eu adorei o filme e recomendo para toda a familia!

Jon Favreau is amazing in his art at some many levels. The Jungle Book does not disappoint, and really is a visually stunning movie

We saw the trailer for this just last week and it scared the crap out of the little ones so we are going to have to wait and see it without them first. Looks like its going to be an excellent film.

I remember reading the book as a kid and then the animated movie. This should be interesting to see for old times sake.

The Jungle Book is a classic and it’s really nice that they remade it, and what’s better is that it’s a live action film, so that’s really awesome. Thank you for sharing your experience, I am really looking forward to seeing the film myself.

This was on the list of movies I couldn’t wait for, and it did not disappoint! I’m already planning on going to see it again one day this week.
I can’t wait to see this movie with my boys. I don’t really remember the first one so it will be like watching it for the very first time. We usually wait until they come out on DVD though.
