I grew up in South America, where the sun beats 365 days, our winter never brought temperatures lower than 75F and I can still remember all the summer beach vacations without sun screen or any protection at all, when I was younger! Huge mistake! As soon as I was in my teens, I started looking for products with sun screen and beach time meant covering my skin with SPF 35 at least! That habit prevented aging and dark spots on my skin! So important to start early!
So, Summer is here! With the sun, the heat, it’s time to enjoy that boat ride on the lake, a beach day or a pool to cool it off! My summer fun doesn’t stop but that doesn’t mean I don’t take care of my skin, because future summer happiness depends on that! On the fact that I have a healthy skin that allows me to enjoy time in the sun!

So I’ve decided to share what’s in my summer bag, hoping it will help you too! Enjoy those long lasting summer fun days for a long time!
What’s in my summer bag?
A Hat
I have a collection of different hats to match my bathing suits and different summer dresses when time in the sun is just a party or picnic outdoors!
The perfect summer hat for women needs to have a wide brim to give me that extra protection even when I’m in the sun without an umbrella.
Sunscreen Lotion
That is my absolute must have in my beach bag! I can forget anything but this item! A good sunscreen such as Aveeno, which is my absolute favorite, should provide 24 hour moisturization without the heavy residue, leaving skin feeling healthy and beautiful. I don’t just use it on my face, I actually use it on my chest and hands as well!
A Stylish Coverup
I always bring an additional summer cover up, colorful, light and stylish to give me that extra protection if I want to take a walk or if we decide to extend our beach day on the boardwalk!
Small Bag
I always carry a small bag inside my summer bag to have beach tags, money, my phone and my reading glasses. Items I want protected from water and sand. I usually don’t carry my wallet with me for various reasons, such as my social security and other credit cards don’t belong at the beach and I’m also afraid they will bend with the extreme sunny days! So a small bag is the perfect solution! This one is leather, waterproof, better than plastic.
SunGlasses
I don’t go out on a summer day without sun glasses. They protect my eyes and the area around them, allowing you to say bye bye to wrinkles from sun damage in that area.
Sunglasses should fit your face and your taste, I own a few pairs, but at the beach, I always prefer the large ones!
Moisturizing lotion
I know this one will surprise you! It’s my new must have! After being at the beach all day, I wash my legs and arms in the beach shower locations, the same at the pool club and water parks and I apply Aveeno® Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration Lotion while my skin is warm after sun exposure. It gives me that special glow but also immediately protects those areas after sun exposure! This is my best kept secret for younger looking skin without sacrificing spending time in the sun!

I’m using Aveeno products lately because of the weather it is so hot and my skin needs some protection from Mr. Sun and I am loving it!
Perfect Summer Bag essentials. Hat, sunnies and SPf lotion is my top 3.
I keep sunscreen on me wherever I go. My oldest has bad skin issues and the slightest amount of sun will cause her to burn and peel.
A sunscreen is essential for me! I always take to much care of my skin!
We live in Ireland so the sun visits much less that in South America. Saying that, I still carry sun cream, sun hats and sun glasses everywhere we go, for the “just in case” situations :-)!
My summer would have sunblock on it, sunglasses, umbrella maybe, water and hanky 🙂
Sunscreen is definitely in my summer/beach bag…and I haven’t tried Aveeno brand yet…maybe I will. I know that you’re supposed to wear sun hats and sunglasses, but I just haven’t gotten into that.
I have really sun sensitive skin, so a hat, spf 50 and a light cover-up are so important for me! I can burn within 5 minutes if I don’t protect myself.
We keep a lot of similar things in our summer bags! I never leave home without sunscreen these days.

In my bag you’ll also find sunglasses, hats and also sunscreen. These are a must for me to bring to the beach.
I always keep sunscreen in my bag. My kids and I are all so fair, so it’s so important to be protected.

My purse now has sunscreen in it. Part of my summer routine. I have a hat in my car because I never know where I am going to be sometimes. I keep extra sunglasses all over, too.
I always keep sunscreen and snacks in my bag. I will have to get some new lip balm to add.
These are all great products to have in your Summer Bag. I usually forget something but with this list, I think I will be covered.
My summer bag always has sunscreen and water. I think those are two of the most important things to have. I want to make sure I’m always hydrated and don’t get sunburned.
My summer bag always contains a bottle of water and sunscreen. I def need to add in a scarf. That would def come in handy!

I am getting better at remembering to apply sunscreen on myself, I got some wicked burns growing up and I remember how painful they are. The freckles on my back are proof to my foolishness! Love the floppy hat, great way to protect the ears.

I never forget to have a sunscreen in my bag. I don’t go out without it especially during summer.
Being a bloke, having a bag is frowned upon. However I always struggle to have my wallet, phone, keys and hand sanitizer. I need a bag.
I always have a hand sanitizer, some pieces of candies, and a bunch of diapers in my summer bag!
Summer can be extra harsh on our skin, it’s important to have the essentials. I love that you do not only have sun screen but a moisturizer as well. I normally have a lip balm too. These are all very helpful especially when you’re out all day!
I always have a book, sunscreen, lip balm, and a towel in mine!! And extra bobby pins…LOL!
My kids have sensitive skin and cam only tolerate Aveeno sunscreen. I meedy moisturizer in the summer because I get such dry skin.

I love Aveeno products and use them occasionally. During the summer I always make sure to have my sunscreen and chapstick. Can’t leave home without htem.
I don’t have even have a summer bag, but sounds like I need one. I would probably have some lotion and lipgloss in my bag, as well as my phone, some gum and money.
I love Aveeno, but I haven’t tried the lotion sunscreen, yet. I will add this to my list as we are heading to the beach next week.
I love that the sunscreen moisturizes as it protects! I use Aveeno face and body lotions so would probably like this one as well. I’ll have to look for this next time I’m at the store to try it.
I’m Irish and incredibly fair skinned too. Sun screen is a must for me and my eldest son. Otherwise we end up looking like boiled lobsters.
I carry most of these items too! I desperately need an after sun lotion for my skin. It gets so dry after being outside.

A good floppy hat is always in my summer bag. So is a really good sun screen and lotion.

I always have baby wipes with me, EOS lipbalm, and I try to keep some cash on hand for emergencies.

My summer bag has a mini first aid kit, chargers, extra battery packs, a planner, sunglasses, lip balm, and bottled water.
My bag when I’m alone? Towel, sunglasses, hat and extra hair tie. When with the kids all that plus 100 drinks, snacks, diapers ?
What is in my bag? of course I have to have sun screen, lip protection, (sun screen for my lips) My phone, tissues, the stuff to clean your hands when there isn’t any soap, wow I cant think of what it is called. Tickets for any events we are doing, maps and an itinerary. I like to plan each day on my trip and need to keep the list on paper in case my phone dies. Oh and an extra charger. I have my hat on my head and sunglasses. My camera and extra set of batteries.
My summer bag has lip balm (with SPF), an absolute must, sunscreen, sunglasses, bottled water, Granado Calendula hand cream, a few Accor fruit candies and Monoi Tiki Tahiti oil for moisture. I love the beach and days filled with warm sun!! I’m part Brazilian so it is my dream to go there soon.
Oh yeah, I forgot the lip balm. I need to bring some, too because my lips burn easily.
My bag has snacks, gum, my portable iphone charger, sunglasses and lots of water 🙂
