I was invited to attend RVX by GoRVing, but this post is not sponsored and as usual, all opinions are my own.
Camping Season is here and I will be sharing why Latinos should go camping! If you have not gone camping before then you are in for a treat, and if you are planning on taking a trailer with you then you will need to know specifics, such as a Toyota Tacoma towing capacity or whatever make of trailer you are bringing, so you can factor in weight and safety when you travel.
Last Week I was so happy to be invited by GoRVing to attend RVX and learn all about what’s new in the RV and Camping World!
I will be sharing some of my favorite RVs next week, but learning more about KOA’s future through their CEO Toby O’Rourke and what the future holds for this growing industry, really excited me even more!
I was honored to have some one on one time and chat with her at RVX, where she inspired me even more with her experience, vision and commitment to concentrate on diversity and the millennial market as one of KOA’S roadmaps to reach these important segments.
INTERVIEW WITH KOA’S FIRST FEMALE CEO, TOBY O’ROURKE
We talked about
- Change in camping habits & industry trends
- New prospects highlights:
- Camping and millennials, data insights and KOA’s next steps to reach that market.
- Camping and diversity growth in RV usage among Hispanics.
- We also discussed what it is that makes camping enticing to Millennials and GenXrs who are Hispanic.
KOA’s steps to address the specific needs of the this niche and large family needs:
- Get out there grants
- Campgrounds of the future: what is next on the KOA roadmap.
You can watch the full interview with KOA’s CEO Toby O’Rourke here:

I can hardly wait to be back at a KOA campground!
I don’t know if I’ve shared with you guys that my husband grew up camping 6 weeks every year with his family, so camping is not only in his blood, but something he truly enjoys sharing with us!
We already have a trip booked for June, we’re heading to KOA in Colorado, But I’m hoping to be camping at least twice this year with my familia, because they LOVE it!
You can book your camping vacation and start making your own memories HERE!

My sons love camping, but for me, not so much. I don’t like having to cook food outside of my own kitchen. Maybe sometime I will try going with them and see if things would work out well for me.

Have never been camping.. camping at a nearby school ground as girl guides doesn’t count. Hopefully, will be able to fulfill that wish when I’m in US.

I travel quite often solo these days. And camping is something I have thought of but never done it. Your post inspires me to & will now plan for around September this year.

We love to go camping! Sometimes the sites are within an hour or so drive. We want to check out Bear Mountain, which is a couple of hours from us.

We like to go camping at least once a year. The Adirondacks Mountains here in New York State are beautiful during the summer.

Though not Latino myself, I feel that camping is something that everyone should enjoy at least once in their life! I hope that this post inspires people in your community to do go camping.
