After my FIL’s funeral, his daughter handed me a bag with jewelry he had bought for me while sick in the hospital and intended to give me on Christmas. Looking at the last ring my father in law bought me and the fact that he took the time to have it sized online on his death bed, showed not only how deeply he cared for us, but that his love went beyond his lack of memory, his sickness and his condition. It’s not about the jewelry, it’s about his love for me, which will always be a memory encrusted in that diamond ring.
Wow beautiful! I recently lost mine. 🙁 Worst feeling ever!

The ring is beautiful – but the story behind it is priceless. What a special memory.
I’m sorry for your father-in-law’s loss. I lost mine in late 2010 and there is such a deep void. You will always have a beautiful memory of him, and know how much he cared about you. He chose a lovely ring for you.
Oh that is so amazing. What a wonderful caring man he was. I’m sorry for your loss.
