Stay at home time made us even more connected to our TVs! At our house, movie time is time when we get together to do something fun! Today I’m sharing my Holiday Movie List, all the titles we have planned to watch before Christmas.
Holiday Movie List
Dec 13th – It’s a Wonderful Life
We watched it in color, on Amazon Prime! One of our absolute favorites!
A classic with a timeless life lesson! It makes us appreciate what we have and sets the tone to the holiday season!
I don’t really think young children will enjoy this movie.
Dec 14th –Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Another classic, brings the non-bullying and social issues for kids to our homes in a very whimsical way that only Dr. Seuss could do!
I promise you will end up loving this adorable grumpy character!
Kids Friendly!
Dec 15th – The Santa Clause
One of my absolute favorites! Tim Allen created a character that will be hard to replace! I keep hoping he will continue and make a fourth movie!
Super Kid Friendly!
Dec 16th – The Elf
Will Farrell is outstanding in this movie! Can you imagine an Elf coming to NYC through the Lincoln Tunnel?
Well, it’s a must watch at our home!
Every time I hear him scream Santa!!! I want to scream with him!
Kid Friendly, all but the lingerie and some language issues.
They recently had a virtual reunion for a good cause! Check it out!
Dec 17th – Daddy’s Home
Another Will Farrel’s Classic Humor!
A movie I’ve learned to love! The story about blending families and how they actually end up forging a beautiful friendship is another must watch!
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR LITTLE ONES!
Dec 18th – Daddy’s Home 2
I worked with the studio to promote this one, you can check my review HERE.
This version is 4 x the trouble! A must watch! Just keep in mind the language, adult jokes.
NOT KID FRIENDLY
Dec 19th – Home Alone
I like the first one – a classic in my opinion. The subsequent versions were more or less a remake of the first!
Who doesn’t like: KEVIN!!!!
Kid friendly
Dec 20th – The Santa Clause 2
We often watch the three installments, so I wanted to add it to the list to remind you to check this one out/revisit it!
Who doesn’t remember the plastic looking Santa saying: “HOHOHO!” – Priceless!
His attempts to date, keep us guessing as to what will happen next! Truly a Classic!
Super Kid Friendly!
Dec 21st – Christmas With The Kranks
Another Tim Allen holiday classic!
Who doesn’t remember the frosty in the basement scene? The ham chase or the tanning scenes at the mall! I still laugh when I think about his botox lunch date!
Curious? Hope you check it out/revisit, if you haven’t seen it in a while!
Dec 22nd – Frosty The Snowman
Love the old classics and animated movies! This is one of my favorites!
Super Kids Friendly!
Dec 23rd – The Christmas Chronicles
This new spin on holiday stories brings a completely new “Santa” feel!
Wrapped in a heart felt story, this Netflix movie will surely capture your heart!
Hope you check out the #2 installment that just came out!
Kid friendly, I would say 8 and older!
Dec 24th – Charlie Brown Christmas
We leave that for the end, because it is one of hubby’s favorites!
The music and sweet story in this animated feature has been warming kid’ss hearts for a long time!
Kids Friendly
Dec 25th – Disney’s A Christmas Carol
I’ve seen so many versions of this story, but this is truly a masterpiece!
We’re planning to watch Disney’s A Christmas Carol after Christmas Brunch and gifts!
It’s a story and performance that will never be forgotten!
Jim Carrey will always be remembered by this movie along with a stellar cast!
