I’ve been frustrated with the weight which has packed over the last two years and even more after my back injury. I’ve made the decision to stop trying and really do it! So today, I will share what I’m doing to stay healthy & Fit This Holiday.
Healthy & Fit This Holiday
First I want to share my goals! I’ve raised the bar and want to lose 30 pounds in 6 months. I am currently a size 6-8 depending on the brand, still fitting in a medium, but I feel more comfortable as a 2, so let’s do this.
If you’re thinking I’m crazy to do this on the month we eat and drink during the holidays, well my reasoning was, if I can do this in December, I can do this all year long.
Can you tell that I’m committed? I have wanted to get fit and healthy for so long that it has only just taken me until now to do something about it. I don’t think I was particularly unhealthy before, but I just knew that I could be healthier. I know this may sound silly but since I started working out, I can actually feel it working. After my workouts, my muscles are very sore, and depending on which routine I do for that day, sometimes my back even starts to hurt.
I guess that this is all part of getting healthy though, right? I know it will be worth it in the long run. Even after this short time, I have noticed such a difference and long may it continue. I just wish I could do something about this pain and muscle soreness that I’m experiencing though.
If it doesn’t get better soon, I may have to ask my friend for advice. She’s a fitness fanatic and has been through the same thing that I have been through. I think I remember her saying that she went for a deep tissue massage when she was working out because, apparently, a deep tissue massage targets hard to reach muscle fibers beneath layers of skin and tissue which sounds so beneficial when you’ve just pushed yourself to the limits at the gym. Actually, this is something that would be lovely all year round, so I may have to consider doing this soon.
I’ve got the itch for working out so I’m more than willing to do this at any time of the year. Why don’t you join me on this journey too?

Week 1 Update
5 workout days and 10K+ steps – didn’t quite make 10 K every day, but was able to walk more than 2 miles/day
Logged my calories, carbs, sugar and water using my fitness pa, a free app. Also planned my meals using it.
Drank more water, but didn’t meet my goal.
I’ve made two new recipes: a keto beef cauliflower fried rice & a chicken fajitas on a lettuce bed instead of on tortillas. I will post recipes soon!
Had trouble with intermittent fasting early during the week, but doing fine now.
Was able to stay within my 1200 target daily calorie goal.
LOST 3 POUNDS!
Using my scale to track it! It even gives me my BMI and water intake!
Desserts and snacks from my grocery list, out of sight, out of mind.
Fruits for now, some fruits have a lot of sugar and carbs, so I want to start being more strict and bringing things back later on.
While I’m not sure how my progress will be, I’m extremely excited to finally see my weight coming off!
