I’ve been frustrated with the weight which has packed over the last two years and even more after my back injury. I’ve made the decision to stop trying and really do it! So today, I will share what I’m doing to stay healthy & Fit This Holiday.

Healthy & Fit This Holiday
First I want to share my goals! I’ve raised the bar and want to lose 30 pounds in 6 months. I am currently a size 6-8 depending on the brand, still fitting in a medium, but I feel more comfortable as a 2, so let’s do this.
If you’re thinking I’m crazy to do this on the month we eat and drink during the holidays, well my reasoning was, if I can do this in December, I can do this all year long.
Healthy & Fit Goals

Fitness
Walk at least 10,000 steps daily.
Increase my fitness plans to 1 hour daily, 5 days a week.
Try out some new classes online.
Bought some new fitness gear, you can check it out HERE. So many amazing styles, to motivate you to keep moving, check it out HERE.

Resume Yoga

Weight
Lose 30 pounds, yes!!!!
Health & Nutrition
Drink 8 – 10 oz. glasses of water daily.
Remove artificial sugar and reduce natural sugar from my diet.
Remove snacks at night.
Resume Intermittent Fasting 16:8, maybe try a longer fasting time.
Reduce carbs to 100 a day or less.
Totally remove white flour, white bread, starch and carb loaded oils and dressings.
In summary: low carb, low fat + intermittent fasting.
Try new recipes!
I started last Monday and I’m already seeing progress!
I will be sharing daily updates on our social channels starting on Monday – stay tuned.
Week 1 Update
5 workout days and 10K+ steps – didn’t quite make 10 K every day, but was able to walk more than 2 miles/day
Logged my calories, carbs, sugar and water using my fitness pa, a free app. Also planned my meals using it.
Drank more water, but didn’t meet my goal.
Added Keto Oil and Coconut Aminos to my cooking list, removed starchy vegetables as much as possible.
I’ve made two new recipes: a keto beef cauliflower fried rice & a chicken fajitas on a lettuce bed instead of on tortillas. I will post recipes soon!

Had trouble with intermittent fasting early during the week, but doing fine now.
Was able to stay within my 1200 target daily calorie goal.
Drum roll!!!
LOST 3 POUNDS!
Using my scale to track it! It even gives me my BMI and water intake!

Removed :
Desserts and snacks from my grocery list, out of sight, out of mind.
Fruits for now, some fruits have a lot of sugar and carbs, so I want to start being more strict and bringing things back later on.
While I’m not sure how my progress will be, I’m extremely excited to finally see my weight coming off!

I love your commitment. It’s inspiring, Claudia!
Glad you’re seeing progress already. You’re goal is quite big. I have no doubt you’ll achieve it.
Great reminders. I am with you, need to revamp my routine and go after new recipes and more walking.
Great information. I plan on following some of your tips to help me get back on track.
I am trying to behave this year. Sweets can be my downfall during the holidays.
I was doing so well, working out consistently. I need to get back into my routine.
These are some great ideas. I need to work on being more fit too. I did so well at the beginning of the year, then with everything that happened, it just slipped away. I love to walk, so I’d love to start with that, and I’ve always wanted to do yoga. I should give it a try too!
That is such a great workout room! I wish I had that setup. It makes it easier to stick to things when you have good equipment.
I love your workout room. We just bought an exercise machine and it has to be placed in my son’s bedroom. Thank goodness he is away on a ship for a while
