Who doesn’t love tacos, enchiladas and a simple chips & guac? Well, if you are living a low carb life, you can still enjoy that, today, I’m sharing my super simple way to make homemade low carb tortillas chips!
Homemade Low Carb Tortillas Chips
Chips can be made two ways but both are Keto friendly:
Fried Low Carb Tortilla Chips
Two different versions to make low carb tortillas! You will love them both, I promise!
- 1 cup Avocado Oil
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Pepper Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1 package Low Carb Tortilla Chips Mission Brand is my favorite
-
Pre-Heat The oil to Medium Heat
-
Cut Tortillas with pizza cutter in small triangles
-
Season them
-
Fry until golden brown
-
For baking version repeat steps 1-3 and cover a baking sheet with parchment paper
-
pre-heat the oven to 350F
-
Bake the chips for 15-20mins or until golden brown.
-
Enjoy!
I love using Avocado oil, but since it evaporates faster, I add a generous amount of it, covering half of the skillet.
Add it to your stove top at medium temperature.
Open Low Carb Tortilla Package. This is the brand I use all the time for tacos and enchiladas as well. Just 3 Net Carbs for whole wheat and 4 for flour tortillas.
Open a tortilla and cut it with a pizza cutter, making “slices” , then cut the slices in half. Add salt and pepper.
Add the tortilla chips to the oil and fry it 3 mins each side or until golden brown.
Baked Tortilla chips
Pre-Heat The oven to 350F.
On a baking sheet, line it with parchment paper and place the pre-cut tortillas, following the steps above, on the baking sheet and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste, but you can also add garlic powder or Italian Seasonings.
Spray olive oil and bake for 20 mins or until golden brown.
Add them to an easy low carb chili:

Or to fresh guacamole:

Save it for later!
